UK Earning to be shown

Hi All,

I have tier 1 General valid until 10 Feb 13. I have 3 questions here:

1.) Do I have to show my entire 12 months earning to apply for the extension or I can show 9-10 months of UK earning and apply as I am able to reach the 55K mark in this period in UK.

2.) If I have to show entire 12 months earning then can a part of it be in Indian salary say for 2-3 months?

3.) My other question is when should I apply?

The start date for my visa was 10 Feb 2011. It is expiring on 10 Feb 2013. After my approval I have to apply for 3 dependent visas too for my family.

Please help.

No, you don't need to show 12 months of earnings if you qualify with less. In your case you can provide 10 months of earnings.

You can apply any time you want, so long as it's before your current leave to remain expires. One point to bear in mind is that if you apply significantly early, then you may have a short fall of leave to remain when it comes to applying for ILR (if you intend to do so later). Based on the guidance if you apply anywhere from upto 28days before your current leave to remain expires then the UKBA will extend your leave from your current leave to remain expiry date. Otherwise it will be extended from the date the current extension application is approved.
