Spouse name on passport - still need of marriage certificate

Post by t1s2010 » Tue Sep 11, 2012 1:38 pm

My wife will switch to tier-1 dependent category from T2-ICT from home country soon.

My name is endorsed on her passport as spouse.
Will she still need to give a 'marriage certificate' with the application?

I am asking this as our current marriage certificate does not have 'couple picture' on certificate itself.

Hi,

I think you should provide your marriage certificate eventhough your pictures are not available on the certificate.

Also I would suggest you to provide your wedding invitation and wedding pictures along with the Marriage certificate. They are not mandatory but definitely adds value.

I did the same when I applied for my wife's visa under Tier 1 dependent category.

if something is not clear, you can always cover those points when you write a sponsorship letter.

Hope this helps.

Thanks kvsagar.
First post on IB and straight answer. :)
I will try to ensure that supporting evidences are there.

So, you too didn't have photograph on marriage certificate. Correct?

I am asking this as our current marriage certificate does not have 'couple picture' on certificate itself. UKBA has not laid such condition to have on Marriage certificate

Thanks so much. This confirmation clears my doubt.
