Changing COS within Parent Company

Hello,

I am working for a large MNC and in the UK in Tier 2 (ICT - Long Term Staff) since Dec 2011. Just recently I have applied for an extension till August 2013 and my application has been submitted to the UKBA.

My existing project will be continuing till Jan 2013 and there is another division within my company who have expressed their desire to take me in after my current project is completed. However, the twist here is that both these Business Units are registered as two different legal entities and have separate Sponsor Licenses from UKBA.

Under this circumstances, I would like to know what would be likely options to proceed?

Effectively you are changing your employer so it will be an new application with a new COS.

So can I do it within UK or do I have to return?

It would have to be done from inside the UK, otherwise a 12 month cooling-off period would prohibit your return for that length of time.

Can I change my sponsor while being on Tier 2 (ICT - Long Term Staff) within UK? As per this link [url]http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... onditions/[/url] - Changing your job section, it looks like I have to file an "Change of Employment" application.

I want to know whether this is possible? I am getting conflicting views on going through various articles over the Internet.
