Saving Tax under childcare vouchers?

Post by ranajagandeep » Wed Sep 12, 2012 3:26 pm

Hi Seniors,

Can anyone put some light on it, i normally give childcare vouchers to the children centre where my kid goes, to save my tax. Does this means that I am taking child benefits or is this known as child benefit?

Please update.

Regards,
J.

If you mean employer childcare vouchers where the employer takes it out of your pay, then no, this is not child benefit

Which other child care vouchers are there? Do you mean that there are some which you are not eligible to take while under immigration control?

Hi Mate
Thanks for reply.

Just to clear out, I am on Tier 1 and not taking any other benefits as i have no recourse to public funds, which we all know ! I just had a query that my employer deducts my salary and give me childcare vouchers , which i pay for the nursery (to save my tax). That's all about it.

Please update IF ALL IS WELL for me.
Regards,
J.

Childcare vouchers are not a public fund.
