Son with Indian passport (no visa) for ILR dependent?

Post by madmanu » Sun Sep 16, 2012 10:40 pm

Hi,
Be grateful if someone can help with this query. My son was born in the UK in May. I am on Tier 1 (General) and eligible for ILR now. We've got my son an Indian passport. Can I include him in my ILR application without getting him a dependent visa first as he's born in the UK?

Thanks

If you do not have any immediate travel plans (5 months or so by current standards) then you can skip his ILR altogether and instead proceed with his registration as a british citizen and his british passport.

Being UK born your soon doesn't have visa requirement if you want to include him in your ILR.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.
My ILR, MN1 and kids PP stories.

Thanks for the reply. My wife does plan to travel in the next 1.5 months. I was hoping to get my ILR sorted with my son as dependent before then so he can travel back with her.
