Tier 1 extension queries

Post by ali_hsn » Mon Sep 17, 2012 10:49 am

Hello members,

I am applying for my Tier 1 Gen extension via post this week, just couple of last minute things that I need to clear up.

1. Dependent photographs: Tier 1 main applicant form has a written guideline to include all dependent photographs, are these seperate from what they ask for in the dependent form?
2. Earnings : I am claiming from period Sep 2011 to Aug 2012. Only problem is, we used to get paid on the last working day every month. i.e. 30/09/2011, 31/08/2012 etc. The dates that I am claiming the earnings for are 01/09/2011 to 31/08/2012. Will this be an issue or should I change dates to something like 09/09/2011 to 08/09/2012 ?
3. Finally, document checklist for me and my wife as dependent:

Passports (mine and mrs)
1 x Marriage Certificate
12 x Payslips
1 x Employment Letter
12 x Bank Statments
2 x Original Degree & Transcript
1 x IELTS Certificate
1 x Original Work Permit
1 x Cover Letter

Any suggestions, or advice welcome.

regards,
Ali

docs list is fine. just include 1 excel file with net and gross salary and date deposit to your account it will help case worker to verify quickly.

print out of point calculator page.

why you need to send Ielts ??

Thanks for the quick response. The employment letter I got from HR, has all the dates with gross and net income. I have already included the self assessment print out, sorry forgot to mention it.
Regarding IELTS, on my initial application for some reason case worker sent me a letter asking if I had any english qualification. So, I thought its better to send it along just in case. I have got my degree from University of Nottingham, which is recognized by the calculator anyway.
Any ideas regarding the earning dates ?

regards,
Ali

i still cant understand why CW ask for english proof as you did your degree from UK uni..

the best way to check the dates is keep 12 payslips which you want to use, and match with bank statement as long as the 12 deposits are there you are sorted..

Posted my application today:

stokbrig, neither did I, he just sent me a letter if I had any proof of english qualification even though I had marked my answer as degree earned in UK. Better safe than sorry I think... Anyways, I have left the dates as 1st Sep 2011 to 31st Aug 2012 (fingers crossed)

max2k12, I have filled out the section for DEBIT card payment, like I did last time. My visa expires on the 26th of Nov 2012. The reason for applying early without PEO is because my 5 year term will be up in May 2013; I am not too concerned if they give me two months less this time. This way I'm also playing safe i.e. if the application is rejected or there is an objection I have ample time to react. I have listed my bank statements are proof of maintenance funds. I am using the same account for salary and maintenance - mentioned in the cover letter.

Lets hope for the best!
