tier 2 entx rejected

Post by tejnarai » Mon Sep 17, 2012 1:28 pm

I applied for Tier 2 extn and my current leave was granted in Sept 2009. I got a rejection saying that you earn £14.2 per hour but in SOC 2124 min pay is £17.46. Do the old rules not apply to me? In the previous application my emplyer completed a RMLT.

Has anyone else faced the same problem?

Please reply asap as i do not have many days left.

Thanks,

Kind Regards
TR

Hi,

In July 2009, I applied for an opening, my employer completed a RMLT and I was offered the job. I applied for Tier 2 General under SOC 2124 (which was then at NVQ 4) in Sept 2009 and was granted leave for 3 years. I was earning £25k (about £13/hour) then was sufficient for the position. I know the rules have changed over a period of time, but they have always considered transition arrangements for people already in.

I applied for my extension and received a rejection saying SOC 2124 needs £17.46/hr and now I earn £14.2/hr

I am told the rules changed on 14th June 2012 and now these are the wages requried. I am unable to find a link to where the transitional arrangements are.

I wanted to know:
1. If any one else has faced this problem.
2. Is there a transitional arrangement.

if you goto page 25, it will indicate what i say.

Thanks,

Kind Regards,
TR.
