certifying my british passport for spouse visa

Hi, all, I am soon be applying for visa for my spouse, so I will have to get my passport to be certified, Just asked the price around, and been quoted £30+vat. is that reasonable?? or is it a bit too much??

Also do we need anything else to be done with solicitor??
