Schengen Visa Refused Twice

Post by yasirshahzad » Wed Sep 19, 2012 2:04 am

Hi,

I am on PSW visa in Uk and i have applied for French Schengen Visa but i have rejected twice with the reason “The applicant’s intention to leave the territory of the Member States before the expiry of the visa could not be ascertained”. I have attached all below documents:

* Application form, duly dated and signed with passport-size picture
* Passport showing my traveling history
* Biometric Residency Permit showing proof of stay and work
* Employment letter showing grant of leave and the date I’m expected to return for work
* Payslips, Bank Certificate & Statement of Account as proof of income
* Train confirmed ticket via Eurostar – London St Pancras to Paris Nord and Paris Nord to London St Pancras
* Hotel confirmed booking as proof of accommodation.
* Travel Insurance with benefits coverage of 30,000 Euro

Could you tell me please why they have rejected the visa as i fulfilled all the requirements and please guide me how can i appeal against the refusal?

Thanks

Well, you already have been given the reason for the refusal. Unfortunately the embassy must check how likely it is that the applicant will leave the Schengen territory again. Naturally that gives them a lot of leeway in how to do it. I doubt anybody here knows the current policy of the French embassy. Your list of documents looks very sensible though.

As for the appeal, I believe you should have been given some information in the letter. The Visa Coce may be of some help.
