Tier 1 - Dependent Visa

Hi,

I am currently in the UK and holding Tier 1 General work visa. I will be traveling to India in month of December for marriage. My date for Marriage is 15th December, 2012.

1) I will be applying for my wife's dependent visa soon after i get the marriage certificate etc. which could be by 20th December, 2012.
2) There are holidays as specified by the BHC site on the 24th, 25th and 26th December, 2012 for Christmas. There is a holiday on the 1st of January, 2013 as well for new year.
3) Can someone tell me the general timelines for the processing of dependent visas? Specially during the holiday season.
4) I am returning back on the 3rd of January, 2013 and want to see if i can bring her along.
5) What are my chances of securing her visa?

Any help would be appreciated. I am actually very confused now and thinking if i can make changes in my travel plans. The tickets are also very expensive and i need to plan things out quickly.

can someone tell me if i get a cover letter or somthing from my client stating that i need to be back by 4th January,2013 and that i need to get the dependent visa soon? does this work? i heard this on one forum and wanted to know if this is a viable option and if BHC does consider this to process visa faster
