Will this get rejected

I am Nigerian living in the u.k but my residence permit expires at the end of November. My Nigerian passport expires in 2016. I have to go on a one day business trip to Amsterdam in October. When i submitted my Visa documents the lady handling it said i needed to have 3 months on my residence permit??? but its not what the website says, website says you only need 3 months on passport and valid residence permit on return. I could easilly select nigeria as my departure point and just return to the u.k anyway since my residence is still valid on return. Was she wrong or right? will i get rejected?

I don't know if you will get a rejection or not, but like you say, you have a valid permit to return to the UK, so I would have thought your interpretation was correct.
