Dependent Visa - Checklist

Dear Members

I am on tier 1g visa living in Uk for more than a year. My wife and Kid will be applying for dependent visa next week at VAC Chennai India. Even though I have spent enough time on reading through the policy documents, we are not confident enough to go ahead with the visa application. Listing down what has been done so far and the next steps. Please let me know if you find any issues with my understanding of the process.

1. Online application filled for both and got the unique ref number generated. Printed the online application.
2. Booked an appointment to obtain the TB certificate. it has been made necessary for tier 1 applications for indian applicants.
3. Bank statements have been received from the bank
4. demand Draft is ready (two DDs) payable to BHC
5. Photographs 2 (for both)
6. Marriage Certificate (spouse)
7. Birth certificate (kid) - not sure if it is required
8. Copy of my BRP (is passport copy required)

Do I need to produce anything more/less based on your experience?

Yes required.

Send copy of your passport.

Also, if possible send some photos (of wedding) and with child.

I read a post here in immigrationboard, where CW rejected dependent visa because lack of these.

hello members..any other inputs on app form...should vaf10 be used only for in country applications?

any special requirements for child application like accommodation, childcare,etc?
