very urgent - MN1 application - how to resubmit BRP

Post by smkengr » Fri Sep 21, 2012 3:37 pm

Hello everyone,

I applied for my daughter's citizenship through NCS on 11 Sep 2012. They did check my documents and then returned it to me after copying the original.

After a week I got acknowledgement and fee confirmation letter from UKBA with reference number. I got my BRP on 7 September 2012. Though I checked it but I couldn't find spell mistake in my city of birth. I got NCS appointment send my baby's application and documents through NCS service. After few days when I had to give residence proof to my employer I realised the city of birth was mis-spelled. I re-applied for BRP and got the new one with difference reference number.

Now what should I do? The BRP copy which was sent to UKBA for my baby's citizenship application had a different refernce number from the one I got now.

Should I book another NCS service and send a copy again? or will I have to send my BRP to the address UKBA citizenship office?

Hope to get some valueable comments.

Many thanks.

Soh

I suggest you call the HO for advice. I don't think you would need to send it. The HO should be able to find your immigration records regardless.

I have called 08450105200 today but there is no way to talk to someone in citizenship service. Only recordings are there so thought to check here if someone has the same experience already?

Call again on Monday and follow the instruction for someone who has submitted his application more than 6 months ago. That will connect you to an advisor.

Update on this for others. I did call to home office and they said to send us a copy of new BRP.
