Switching from Tier 5 (Govt authorized exchange) to TIER 2

Post by informationBRP » Fri Sep 21, 2012 11:17 pm

Dear Immigration GURUS!

I am currently working in UK on Tier 5 Govt authorized exchange program and recently got COS for TIER 2 from another A rated Sponsor.I have few queries Please Help.

Q1. I extended my Tier 5 for 2nd year stay in UK in last week of August 2012 . But in 3rd week of September 2012 i got TIER 2 COS.As per switching rules i need to apply from home country. My question is do i need to cancel my Tier 5 by informing UKBA or UKBA will automatically cancel that when i apply from home country for TIER 2.

Q 2. While applying for TIER 5 last year i had my IELTS with 8 Band but it got expired now. My nature of job is interacting people in English for which i already have had proved my English skills. Do i need to appear in IELTS again before applying for TIER 2 from home country?

Q 3. Does Time spend on Tier-2 General counts towards ILR if my salary is above 36000?

Your prompt reply will be highly appreciated.

Thanks.
