eu family member residence card ,on basis of eu child father

just want to know what kind of residence card will be issued under eu family member father to eu british child we are in italy.
i am british citizen my son is british citizen and my husband is third country non eu visa national n schengen visa.
we were applying under eu spouse but italian questura which issues the card is asking for translation and legalization by italian embasy islamabad which is another long story.
but they recently told my husband that if he wants to apply residence card without translation he can apply as father to eu child as our son is born is uk birth certificate is issued in uk his name appears as father .
it it still under article 10 family member of eu citizen residence card or something different if my husband applies on basis of eu child
