My husband is Lebanese, I am British, we have a daughter who is also British and has just turned 3 years old. My husband and I got married in 2008 after obtaining an Approval certificate of Marriage from the Home office. He had made an application to stay in the UK in 2006 and we also made an application for him to stay as a spouse of a British citizen in 2008, however both applications were refused by the UKBA in 2010. We then made another application on grounds of discretionary leave to remain with our current soilicitor, this was also declined, and we are now awaiting the final decision on that outstanding application. The first 2 applications were denied on the grounds that there is no longer a war in Lebanon and also that my husband had entered the country illegally. We are desperate, worried and frustrated and don't know what else to do. The solicitor dealing with the appeal is not professional and we are unsatisfied with the way he has dealt with this case. We have lost trust in his abilities to represent us but can not afford to go to another solicitor. Any advice please?
