FLR(M) 2012 - Waiting more than 7 months

Post by superbond » Mon Sep 24, 2012 12:18 pm

Dear all,

I got my PR on February 2012. My wife was on Tier 1 dependant visa and was not eligible to apply for PR same time with me, since we got married less than 2 years at the time of application. I have applied for her FLR(M) on February 2012 (7 months back). She got her biometrics done on 24th March.
Till then we are waiting and we have got no response yet. We did called home office couple of times. But, got a response saying "your case is not yet processed". She is now eligible for PR but can't apply without the passports and other documents returned from Home office.

My wife is now pregnant and wish to go to India for her delivery.

My question here is

1) Can she cancel the FLR(M) application and apply to PR directly as her existing Tier 1 dependant visa is valid till next year?
2) Will cancelling the application affect her PR application?

Please any help on this will be much appreciated.

Which Tier 1 are you referring to here? And on what basis did you apply for settlement?

I was under Tier 1 general migrant visa, before I become PR. My wife is under Tier 1 migrant dependant visa, valid till mid next year.
