Appropriate Salary Rate

Post by SKTHEN11 » Mon Sep 24, 2012 4:58 pm

Dear all,

I am currently on Tier-1 (PSW) and my employer is willing to sponsor me on Tier-2 (General).

We have also identify the SOC code for the job I am currently being employed to do.

According to the Code of Practice, the appropriate salary is £32000. But I am currently being paid £28000 for gross salary. When applying for the Certificate of Sponsor, if the employer put £28000 as the gross salary (instead of £32000 as suggested by Code of Practice), will there be any problem in obtaining the Certificate of Sponsorship or applying the visa?

Your help/advise/assistance is very much appreciated.

Thank you

The CoS will not be issued.

You will be refused visa , if salary is less than what is stated in code of practice and salary is calculated on 37.5 hours per week basis
