PSW dependant application

My wife will be applying for PSW dependant visa from India. The UKBA guideline says;(http://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/ApplyNow.aspx)
''We also suggest that you have the following information to hand:
Your current Passport or Travel Document
An address in the UK where you will be staying
travel Itinerary
''
Could you please tell whether she needs to buy a ticket in advance before visa appointment. I know UKBA advises not buy ticket before Visa is granted)
In this case what does itinerary will include?. Waiting for your reply.

Ticket is not mentioned. Why are you asking about tickets? The Travel Document being referred to is a recognised document in lieu of a valid national passport.
