Leave and remain after Tier 1 and Tier 2?

Dear all,

I hope you will be able to help me.

I’m currently under Tier 1 visa, the company I’m working now are kindly agreed to organize me a sponsorship visa (Tier 2). I believe the Home Office will grant me a visa for the next 3 years.

My questions are
1) Can I switch from Tier 2 to Tier 1 if I decide to work on my own after a year?
2) Will the whole years I'll spend under (Tier 1\Tier 2 and back to Tier 1) will count against 5 years for settlement AKA Leave to remain
3) How easy is it to switch from Tier 2 to Tier?
4) Will it worth it or shall I stay with the company for the next 3 years?
