ILR qualification question, please help

Post by fabercastel » Thu Sep 27, 2012 12:06 pm

hello all,

My first tier 1 general visa is approved from 1st of april 2009. I have renewed my tier 1 visa general in 2012 and its a 2 year extension hence i got it until 1st of april 2014.

Can I apply for ILR ( indefinite leave to remain ) after this current visa ends in 2014.

My only doubt is the vacation i took in 2009. I left UK in october 2009 and returned in May 2010. So i was not in UK for 6 1/2 months during that period.

Do I still qualify to apply for ILR in 2014 or do i need to get a further tier 1 general extension for another 2 years starting from april 2014. Please could someone explain the terms.

I thank you all for your valuable time and I much appreciate your help

dino
