Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 dependant visa

Post by dj_india » Thu Sep 27, 2012 7:45 pm

Hi,

My husband is on a Tier 2 (General) visa that expires in Feb'13 and will be renewed by Mar'13 (that is why I don't want to apply for Tier 2 dependant visa right now)..My Indian employer is sending me on Tier 2 ICT visa in Dec'12. If I want to quit my current employer at a later stage, can I switch from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 dependant visa? Will any cooling off period be applicable for me?

Looking forward to your replies,
dj

"switching" in UKBA terminology means changing immigration status in-country. You will not be able to do this. if you want to become your T2 husband's dependant you will have to leave the UK and apply for entry clearance from India. There is no cooling-off period for this
