Tier-1 extension for self, wife and new born baby

Post by FHM30 » Thu Sep 27, 2012 1:26 pm

Hi,

I came to UK in Sep 2008. My Tier-1 general extension is due in March 2013. My wife joined me in Jan 2011. We had a our child born last month i.e August 2012. Since I am the main applicant and have been in UK for 4 years now, how much funds will I need to show for the last 90 days when I apply for tier-1 general extension in March 2013? Is it 900 for self+600 for wife+600 for baby=£2100

Looking forward to a good and clear response.

regards,
FHM

44. If the Tier 1 Migrant has been in the United Kingdom for 12 months or more, each family
member of the Tier 1 Migrant must have £600 to support himself/herself

Don't pick only the easiest one. The paragraph you are quoting is for family members only and is not mentioning that it is in addistion to funds required by main migrant. Whereas other paragraphs show it clearly.

The above documents needs update of figures otherwise it is appropriate.

Remember whenever you apply for dependents, first you have to show that you have something in your pocket for yourself, and then on top of that you need to show what you have got to support dependents.

Incorrect!!
Reading the immigration rules helps (Appendix E).

See also How much to show.
