Hi,
Am filing my spouse visa application on 04/10/12 from New Delhi, India. Just needed feedback on my supporting documents and whether they're sufficient. Following is the index to my application as attached to the application.

Index

1. Application:
i) Online application.
ii) Sponsorship undertaking.
iii) Annexe 2 (VAF 4A).
iv) Statutory declaration by sponsor.

2. Financials:
i) Letter of net worth from sponsor’s accountants.
ii) Sponsor’s bank statements from 24/07/10 till 24/07/12.
iii) Proof of various Western Union remittances from sponsor to applicant.
iv) Sponsor’s tax computation report for 2011-2012.
v) Sponsor’s tax return 2012.
vi) Accountants’ report on sponsor’s unaudited accounts.
v) Applicant’s bank statements highlighting various Western Union remittances and cash deposits from sponsor.

3. Accomodation and Utility Bills:
i) Land registry.
ii) Property inspection report.
iii) Letter from British Gas.
iv) British Gas electricity statement.
v) Letter from TV Licensing.

4. Marriage Documents:
i) Marriage certificate.
ii) Letter of No Objection to marriage from British High Commision, New Delhi.
iii) Photos from wedding, mehendi and sangeet.
iv) Wedding invitation card.

5. Identity/Status Documents:
i) Sponsor’s birth certificate.
ii) Sponsor’s certified passport copy.
iii) Sponsor’s counterpart driving license.
iv) Sponsor’s official election poll card.
v) Applicant’s valid passport copy.
vi) Applicant’s previous passport copies (2 previous passports).
vii) Applicant’s driving license copy.
viii) Applicant’s PAN card copy.
ix) Applicant’s birth certificate.
x) Copies of applicant’s previous visas.



6. Sponsor’s Previous Retainership Contracts/Invoices:
i) Renewal of retainership agreement.
ii) Letter of retainership.
iii) Invoice for bulk payment for period of April ’11 till July ’11.

7. Proofs of Communication/Relationship:
i) Itemised Lycatalk bills highlighting calls from sponsor to applicant.
ii) Itemised Airtel bills highlighting calls between applicant and sponsor.
iii) Emails between applicant and sponsor
iv) Photos before and since wedding.

8. Applicant’s Educational Documents:
i) IELTS test report form.
ii) University of Delhi BA (Hons) English degree certificate.
iii) Alliance de Francaise diploma certificates for 1997, 1998, 1999.
iv) Senior School Certificate Examination marks statement (Class XII).


I am fairly sure this is adequate. Am still quite nervous, nevertheless. Any feedback will be welcome.

Personally I think you have gone well over the top with some of the documents which are really not necessary at all,but if you want to send them all then that's fine. :wink:

Hmmmmm! Is an excess of information going to be a problem? I still have 3 days to tweak my application.

I'd applied for a family visit visa earlier. It was denied because I hadn't provided certain documentation. It was quite a shock :-(
I suppose that's why my husband and I chose to err on the side of caution. :-p
