Can I register my UK born child as a British citizen?

Post by deep31 » Sun Sep 30, 2012 7:00 pm

Hello,

I find this forum very helpful. I am trying find out that "Can I register my UK born child as a British citizen from UK who is currently abroad ?"

We, me and my my wife, have ILR Visa. Our child was born in UK but now he is abroad with grandparents for one year. We had Tier 1 visa when child was born. Child has now Tier 1 Dependant visa, but it is about to expire soon. When we applied for ILR, as child was abroad and not able to come UK due to some reason, we didnt include him in application.

As, we got ILR now, can I register my child as BC from UK(here) even though child is abroad by filling MN1 form. We got child birth certificate as well as ILR documents. OR is there any alternative procedure?

Please advise if some one has gone through similar situation.
