ILR/FLR Success at PEO Sheffield

Post by sshanmug » Mon Oct 01, 2012 12:43 pm

Hi Folks,

I went to ILR at PEO Sheffield, with following documents

General documents
Filled in SET O application form
Passport
2 photos
Evidence of continuous residency & Life in the UK
Life in the UK test pass letter
P60 for 5 years
HMRC Tax Calculation Sheet for 5 years
Company Incorporation certificate
VAT Registration certificate
Appointment Report from Companies House
UK Absences
Client Letters for Business Absences
Letter from Employer for Business Absences
Evidence of funds
Last 3 months bank statement. No fixed amount maintenance is required
Points based criteria
Tier 1 Extension Approval Letter from Home office
Copy of Degree Certificate
Letter from Accountant
Payslips for 12 months
Dividend vouchers for 12 months
Banks Statements for last 12 months showing Salary and Dividend payments

Since my business absences were close to 400 days, there were not able to make a decision on same day. It went to senior case worker for approval and I got the decision after 10 days.

Also, I entered UK after 2 months of granting Entry Clearance. This is disregarded. Upto 90 days is acceptable by UKBA for counting the 5 year period.

Today I went for my wife's FLR (M) application. (Sheffield PEO)

My wife spent 1 years and 4 months with me in UK and hence she is not eligible for PR. She has to apply for FLR M with the following documents

General Documents
Filled in Application Form
2 photos of my wife, 1 photo of me
Passports (me and my wife)
Evidence of marriage & subsisting relationship
Original marriage certificate for both parties
Original photos of both parties together on separate occasions
Joint tenancy agreement for their current UK residency
Joint council tax & utility bill
E-tickets for joint flights in Jan & Mar 2012
Original certificate of incorporation & share document for my limited company, confirming that both parties are joint shareholders in this company
Evidence of “present and settled” status
ILR approval Letter
Biometric card
Evidence of funds & accommodation
Joint tenancy agreement for their UK residence
Latest council tax & utility bill for their UK accommodation
Bank Statement for me and my wife for fund maintenance. No minimum amount required.
English language requirement
Original degree certificate
Original letter from University confirming that the aforementioned degree was taught in English
Original letter from UK NARIC confirming that the aforementioned Bachelor degree was taught in English
Financial requirement
Category A – combined salaried income
Income from the settled person (sponsor)
Company Certificate
Letter from Accountant
Employee Offer Letter
P60, Payslips and Bank Statements for last 12 months
Income from the applicant(my wife)
Company Certificate
Letter from Accountant
Employee Offer Letter
P60, Payslips and Bank Statements for last 12 months
Category F – combined income through a limited company
Dividend Vouchers
Letter from Accountant
Bank Statements for last 12 months
Limited Company Documents
Company short tax return CT 600
Corporation tax statement – Notice to deliver a company tax return
Company Annual accounts
Original business bank statements
Latest VAT return

We were out by 12 30 PM. The case worker told that as per new FLR M rules, my wife will have to complete 5 years for settlement but as she already spent more than a year, they may consider her case after 2 years(in another 6 months time) for granting ILR. It means that though the rules are in place, the case worker can view individual cases with different angle and come up with decision favour to us.
