Tier 2 Extension

Post by tier210 » Mon Oct 01, 2012 6:46 pm

Hello

I understand it is not right to submit a new post with same questions but I was unable to find answers to my specific queries.

My tier 2 visa expires early November and I had plans to extend at PEO. Looking at current conditions I doubt this can happen since my company is struggling to get allocation for COS. My question is I do not understand why do I need COS allocation?
I was employed with my company for 3 years and now for extension they are asking for allocations. Should my company not get COS directly? Very bizarre.

Next, if I don't get COS in time, what should I do? Should I make application without COS, and add a cover letter that you people haven't send me COS?

Finally I am unable to understand which application form should I use for extension application. Should this be the same as Tier 2 General?

Thanks in advance for responses.

It is also not right to assume multiple immigration histories.

What is the sponsor's rating?

Hi

My visa is about to expire in a week time and UKBA has not processed the cos application my company made for tier 2 visa extension.
The HR dept. requested urgent processing of the application and response they got was "It is case worker's discretion whether they want to consider processing of application as urgent or normal".

This is making me anxious and nervous about what should I do... please please please advice.... this is urgent.

I spoke to ukba over the phone and they are asking me to return to home country and make an application from there.

Am sure there must be others in similar situation as myself.

Awaiting response from someone.

Hi Tier210,

I can understand your situation.

I have got feedback from couple of solicitors that you can make an application without COS or License and request UKBA that you will submit COS and License No. once you get the same.

Although it is advisable to consult a solicitor and ask them to make an application on your behalf.

Reve thanks

My company did speak to an immigration specialist and he advised HR that there is nothing we can do about this except what you've already said.
I called UKBA call centre and their advice was to apply with COS or return to home country and apply from there.
More over my application, depending on case worker, would be refused if COS is not supplied with the application and no right of appeal will be given.
