ILR Success Croydon PEO Work Permit Set O 3rd Oct.

Post by andy77 » Wed Oct 03, 2012 10:18 pm

Hi everyone, first of all a big thank you to all the people sharing their experiences on the forum, they have been quite helpful in their own special way.

A bit about the process, applied with wife and 2 kids one born in UK

0930 Reached the PEO for 1010 appt Airport style check and friendly staff
0940 Ground floor initial quick application form check, issue of token no.
question asked, have u been with the same employer? Have u been out of
country only once?
0950 Proceed to 1st floor, payment window, payment done asked to wait in main
waiting area
1020 Called to window, extremely pleasant lady, took form, passport, photo said
she will enter in system and will call for clarification or everything ok
1050 Called back, everything ok please wait for biometric same floor
1100 Bio metric call, both me and wife and elder child, younger one only photo
asked to wait to be called again presumably by the actual case worker
1140 Called again asked for following docs, form, photos, fee receipt, passports,
copies of original work permit, letter from employer, LIUK both, bank
statements 3 months, payslips asked 3 months , 3 co-hab docs, birth certificate
children, marriage certificate, P60 (gave 5yrs)
asked to wait or leave and come back by 1300 so went out, kids bored
1315 Called again, application successful BRP in 7-10 days

A few observations on my part

When coming back inside the building, security staff different from morning and were less pleasing and seemed a bit grumpy or maybe I am bit picky on these matters.

Calling/Tanoy system very confusing and annoying at time, no idea why they cant flash number on screens( what about hearing impaired applicants)

Case worker asked for my elder child’s birth certificate, not born in UK, which I was a bit surprised, not sure I had heard or read about this before hence didn’t have it, caseworker a bit wary, it wasn’t a issue though, even if I had my elder one’s birth certificate he wouldn’t understand it as it is not in english! Also wasn’t asked if I
would like to submit anything else from my side so didn’t offer anything else

As I had mentioned in my earlier posts, I was promoted by my company with a considerable raise, UKBA not informed, so I thought it could be an issue, it wasn’t, maybe I was lucky.

Will update when I receive BRP’s, any questions, happy to be of assistance.

I had a load of docs, i just let him ask what he needed and he specified them, i didnt offer any extra from my side, so basically he choose.
