Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) application from within the UK

Post by la » Thu Oct 04, 2012 11:16 am

My wife started maintaining funds more than 900 from July 15 nth 2012 in salary account of Lloyd's bank, UK.

On September 7th 2012 , She moved the some of money to her savings account. After that net amount on the same date in her salary account is below 900 pounds. After two days on September 9 nth 2012 , I verified her salary account, and immediately transferred some of amount from her savings account to salary account to make money more than 900 pounds.

Could you please let me know whether she can meet maintenance of 90 days requirement for tier 1 entrepreneur visa. If so, how can we tackle this situation. My wife asked bank to give letter saying "sum of amounts in both salary and savings account is more than 900 for 90 days". They are not able to give. Please help me. It is some what urgent.

One of my friend applied in a similar circumstances... I asked him just now... He ordered statement of Savings and also current and joined them together to make it 800 few months ago and got visa... check if you can order statement for savings ac and write a little note about combined availability, I hope this is OK... however wait for some senior advise in the forum before you apply

You can show maintenance funds combined in two different accounts. There is no problem with that but just make sure you explain that in your cover letter to be on the safe side.

Thanks for your help.

Could you please clarify below query.

My wife's Lloyd's salary and savings account Bank statements only contain full surname with out full initial. She asked bank people for support letter to indicate account number belongs to her with full name mentioned on support letter. They said , they can not give support letter saying account belongs to you on your full name.

Could you please let me know is it OK if we can keep bank statements with surname with out full initials to satisfy maintenance funds.

She should be able to change the account holder's name by taking her passport into the branch. I wouldn't risk it otherwise considering how its UKBA!

We asked Lloyd's people to change the account holder's name to full name. But they are saying their systems will not support to store big names ( full name ).

Could you please let us know other alternatives please.

My statement would read my name as "S. D'costa" (Solomon D'costa) that satisfied the requirement the last time I applied, no problems.

Hi I have applied for tier 1 entrepreneur visa with following documents to claim 200k funds.

1) Got Lloyd's bank balance letter claiming 100k on 16th-October-2012
2) Got Indian Bank of Baroda letter claiming 100k on 16th-October-2012 covering all points as per policy guidance.

I have not submitted UK Lloyd's bank statement along with entrepreneur application. Does this lead to chance of visa refusal.

Bank statement is not necessary. You should be OK if letter states your name and account details along with freely available money.
