My question relates to the 180 day rule for ILR.
I traveled to France between 1/5/10 and 3/5/10. My passport has the stamp for 3/5/10 only. I no longer have the train ticket for 1/5/10. How do I prove that I went to France on 1/5/10 and not earlier?
I was also out of the U.K. from 2/4/10 - 12/4/10, which I can prove with my passport stamps and flight tickets. Therefore, even if the UKBA didn't believe that I left for France on 1/5/10 and considered 13/4/10 as my travel start date to France, my total absences during the past five years still would not exceed 180 days.
What suggestions do you have for me to show the UKBA that I was present in the U.K. from 13/4/10 - 30/4/10? I could ask my employer to write a letter. My bank statements show that I made ATM withdrawals during that period, but I read that some applicants could've provided their debit card and PIN number to a friend who subsequently made ATM withdrawals on the applicant's behalf, so bank statements aren't sufficient. I don't know how a S.A.R request would help because I don't know which organization would be able to prove that I was in the U.K. during that period.
