I m bit confused about my status right now which form to fill n what status do i hold to apply the visa.
Background:
I came to uk in 17th march 2010 on the Tier 2 dependent of spouse. During this time my partner got settlement on the merit of 10 yrs stay n also he got naturilised n passport is yet to be applied. meanwhile i remained on the same visa(tier 2 partners dependent ) which is to expire at oct 2012.
confusion:
can i apply for settlement using SET M form on the merit of settled persons partners staying for more than 2 yrs .
i have heard that as soon as my husband changed his status i should have changed it within 28 days but by no means we knew we had to change mine too. thinking that i have visa till 2012 we didnt even think of it that way.
If i use FLR M form do i have to stay 5 more yrs to get settlement or as soon as i get extention of this visa i am eligible for the settlement?? or same time i can use set m form to get settlement because on every ground i am eligible for it.
