Sponsoring Family visitor before going to extension

Post by vbathineni » Sat Oct 06, 2012 5:57 pm

I am on Tier 1 General Migrant visa.
My visa is going to expire on Dec-2012 and i am planning to apply for an extension in November-2012.
I am planing to apply Family visitor visa for my Father In law and Mother In law (Spouse parents).

My Question: Can i sponsor a family visitor( for 6 months) before going to extension.? I am planning to apply visa for them in this month (October -2012).

Yes, that's fine. Their general visit applications (because they are not eligible for family visit visas) will still be issued for six months as that is the standard period.

I was having the same issue, I applied for my mother's visa and got it for six months while mine was only valid for another 2 months.
