UKBA messing up biometrics processing

Post by Bill_Gillies » Sun Oct 07, 2012 1:55 pm

Hi Everybody. We submitted my wife's application for IDL on 27th April, 2012. On the 7th August, we received a reminder for my wife to get her biometrics done. No initial letter was received by us. We got the biometrics done on 9th August. We received another reminder to get the biometrics done on 1st September. I wrote to them with a copy of the receipt for my wife's biometrics. On the 29th September they returned my wife's application saying that her IDL had been rejected on the grounds that we had not submitted the biometric information!

I've checked with the post office and as far as they are concerned everything is working fine at their end.

Something serious seems to have gone amiss at the UKBA, Liverpool. We have done everything correctly and yet my wife's application for IDL has been rejected. Also, the UKBA ignores any correspondence. It appears to be impossible to communicate with anybody at the UKBA about this.

Needless to say we are both devastated by this and have no idea how to proceed. What are we to do?
