Still waiting for tier 1 extension!

I can clearly see lot of people are waiting for their tier 1 extension to come back. My wife applied for same (general) about 3 and half months ago and we are still waiting. A lot of our programmes are getting affected because of that, and am sure it's same with lot of other people as well. Is there anything we can do? The website says not to call them if it's not been 6 months, although on front page they have said they process 75% applications within 4 weeks, which is definitely not true. There are only 4 conditions they might consider for processing applications faster. What about rest of people? Do we just wait and wait? Can we not do anything?
