UK Tier 1 Extension - Salary Expectation

Post by baltrical » Mon Oct 08, 2012 5:02 pm

Hi Everyone,
I am planned to renew my visa(Tier 1 General) in the month of December 2012. To secure enough points i need to show my salary as greater than or equal to 40K. But as per pay slip my annual gross 36K, in the month of march 2012 i got 3000 GBP as a incentives. After including this my annual income is around 39 K( Gross + Incentives). Still 1000 GBP is less to secure enough points, for that i am currently working Overtime in office to get more pay. By the end of Oct, i can show more than 40 k as my earnings.
But my question is, whether can I show this Overtime amount as my income ? Will this be a part of my earnings ?This amount was also mentioned in my monthly payslip.

regards...

Thanks...One More clarification.
In My payslip
Basic Salary = ( Gross/12)
Overtime = XXX
DC Pension Salary Sacrifice = (-) XXX

Total pay = XXX ( Basic+O.T- D.C Pension).
(Which is taxable)

Is DC Pension salary sacrifice will come under as a part of my earnings.
If Case worker checks only Total pay, then i will be short of points. So how should i prove/explain that Pension Salary scarifice is my earnings ?

Assuming "DC pension salary sacrifice" is in fact a description of "employee's contribution to a pension fund", then:
your gross salary = basic pay + overtime + DC pension salary sacrifice.

A covering letter from your end will help. If you can get the employer to explain the term that will be better!
