FLR(M) Financial Requirement Category?

Hello,

I am asking for some advice regarding the financial requirements for FLR(M). I am sponsoring my wife for the visa who is currently on a tier 4 student visa.

I am unsure if we belong in category B for the financial requirements. My current annual salary is 19,000 which satisfies the requirement.

However I have only been in my current job for 1 and a half months so I do not have six months worth of payslips. Previously I was a student shoo I do not have an income to contribute.

However I have a contract of employment which states my full annual salary and 1 payslip. Will this be satisfactory?

No one payslip is not satisfactory. You need 6.

In order to be in category B - you're going to have to prove your income over the last 12 months.

Your income over the last 12 months has (from what you've said) been £1583.

So you need to wait for another 5 months and then you can apply in category A instead.

My where's visa runs out before that period. What can I do?

She could undertake another course of study and extend her tier 4 visa, or she could go home for a few months and then apply for entry clearance once you meet the requirements. Alternatively if you have substantial savings held for at least 6 months you could rely on these (£62500)

Can you please clarify that the amount you stated (62500).

I thought the saving should be above 16,000.

Yes - but the key point about that is that the amount above 16000 has to be the shortfall multiplied by 2.5.

So - if you have no income you can prove - which you don't - you'll need the full amount of savings:

16000 + (18600 *2.5) = 16000 + 46500 = £62500
