Tier2 ICT ( with UK perm employment) to tier 2 general

Post by jmdu » Fri Oct 12, 2012 1:40 pm

Hi,

I have entered UK with Tier2 ICT sponsored by my employer on Jun 2011 to work at my clients place in UK and it is valid till jan 2013. So far I was working in UK on my national payroll.

But recently (3months ago) i have been hired by my client to UK permanent roll ( UK payroll ). They said there wont be any VISA changes required you can still continue to have Tier 2 ICT. During your renewal you can submit new sponsorship letter they said.

So now my question is, can i migrate my visa from Tier 2 ICT to Tier2 general because my sponsorship changes?

Any inputs/suggestions/answers?

A change of sponsor / employer requires a fresh application under Tier 2.

My VISA was applied on Mar 2011 ,but I came to UK on Jun 2011. And my visa is Tier2 ICT established staff. so can I switch to Tier2 General ?
Switching section in http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... idance.pdf says yes. is it so?
