Dependent ext. application - # of passports

Post by rainyhope » Mon Oct 15, 2012 8:51 am

Hi all and a happy monday morning to you!

A quick question, hope someone has the answer for me...am a tad confused:

In the Ext application form for dependents (of Tier 1,2 and 5), in the travel history section, it says we have to submit ALL the previous passports that the person has used to enter or remain in the UK.

Is there a limit to how many years of travel history they require? I ask because I can trace back travel for last 20 years (and have supporting passports) but beyond that, passports expired and returned to authorities and do not even remember the passport number, let alone the issue and expiry dates... Must have travelled to the UK when 5 years old with family beyond that but dont know if that far back in the past is required? And if, how to address as dont have passport, dont have passport details...

Hope its not a silly question and hope someone can help?

Kind Regards

Though it is not explicitly stated, IMHO, one is required to provide only those passport(s) which were issued to apply for entry clearance / leave to remain as a PBS dependant ....... rather than all the passports ever used in one's lifetime to apply for entry clearance / leave to remain in the UK.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

Makes sense! I thought that would be the case, but since it was a bit vague, thought better ask than make a mistake!

Thanks tons :)
