ILR success @ Solihull on 12/10/2012- Workpermit holder +Dep

Post by rbd06 » Mon Oct 15, 2012 11:24 am

Hello everyone, I got my ILR application approved on 12th OCt.

My appointment was @ 10:15 reached PEO at 9:45, security called in at 9:50 and gone through the ckecks and asked sit in the hall and 5 minutes later they handed barcoded slip with a number on it and feedback form to fill in at the end.

At 10:15 my number was called in and asked to see CW @ window 2

CW was only asked me to produce the below docs

- Application with 2 photograpts
- All Passports (main applicant/ dependant)
- 3 month Payslips
- 3 months Bank stmts
- Letter from employer mentioning SOC and required to continue
- Life in the UK certificates - 2 (mine and my wife's)
- Cohab docs( 2 yrs Council Tax bills, 1Yr RBS joint A/c statement and driving licences (both of us)
- Photo copies of all the above

It only took about 15 minutes and adviced that he is happy to approve the application and asked proceed for payment @ window 6, handed me back all my passports and payment details sheet from the application form to give it for payment window
@ 10:30 I went payment window and and he adviced that they do not have chip and pin system and he will process it by entering all details manually, asked us to wait back in the main hall and let us if payment gone through
@ 10:50 One of the staff adviced us payment gone through fine and they'll anounce the number for Biomentric soon
@ 11:00 our number called in for biomentric and it took about 10 minutes complete the finger prints and photos taken and asked to fill simple form and sign at the bottom

The person who took biomentris asked us to come back in 1.5hrs time and collect the approval letters, we were out from PEO @ 11:15.
Went back about 1'sh to collect the documents, security at reception gave us the approval letter and adviced biometric cards will arrived in 7-10 working days.
Waitning for Biometric cards.
Whole process was very simple and I would like to thank all the moderators and members of this forum who shared their valuable experience and advices

Good luck for the members who are applying for the ILR

Cheers

Congrats! and thanks for the info. My case is almost identical to yours. Can I just ask. Did you provide the marriage certificate as well? Did you have more cohab documents (and the CW chose those three you have mentioned) or you just gave all the docs you had? How many cohab documents are required?
thanks

I had more Cohab documents with me (rental agreement, 2yrs electoral letter and NHS correspondence letters), however I only produced CW
2 years council tax, 2 years joint account statement(2 sept stmts only) and driving licences). CW only took 1 joint bank statement for the year 2010,council tax year 11 &12. our driving licences covered from Apr 2010.
CW did not asked for marriage certificate.

I have prioritised the documents as 6 payslips,6 bank stmts, about 6 different sources of Cohab docs (all with photocopies) but CW asked only 3 last bank statement,3 payslips and asked me to provide the Cohab docs and I only gave him the above mentioned.

I would advise you to take as many as documents as possible.
