Bulgarian Au-Pair looking te get work permit??? Please help

Post by matinuk2 » Mon Oct 15, 2012 6:49 pm

Hi,
I'm putting this topic on behalf of a friend.
My friends girlfriend is Bulgarian national and lived here in UK for 12 month as an Au-Pair. Now she wants to get a work permit and leave the family to have her own life, but they are not sure how to do it, Which form do they have to fill? What supporting documents do they need to include? How much are the fees? Can they do it on same day application?
I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me with some info please.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick respond and the link.
I've looked at that page already and to be honest it's very confusing.
As I said she has been living in UK with permit as an Au-Pair for the last 12 month. What happen now? in that page it says what sort of permit do they need to apply for when they wanna come over to UK as an Au-Pair, it doesn't say what happen after 12 month they have lived here?
Does that 12 month consider as a work? Does she need to apply for an accession worker card or for a registration certificate in order to work freely? also it doesn't explain which supporting document do they have to submit?

Thanks again for your time.
