Tier 1 PEO Cardiff decision delay

I am new to this forum. Myself along with my dependents have applied for my Tier -1 Extension through Cardiff PEO on 24th Sept 2012. My visa expiry was 29 sept 2012. the application was sent through the OISC registered advisor. The advisor booked my slot for PEO.

On the day of application the Biometric is done and they took all the documents and told that decision will be taken within one week. Almost 24 days passed but they have not provided the decision.

After 16 days when my advisor asked PEO by email regarding the status of application. The PEO case worker replied as"Unfortunately there is an overseas security check that needed to be made on this application, we cannot outcome until this is received. I will chase it up with the relevant team tomorrow and get back to you."

I am still awaiting the answer

Please let me know if anyone had encountered this situation

Also my questions are
#Is this much delay possible in PEO application?
#Do we get the Acknowledgement letter after applying by PEO? I have not received it and my employer is asking about that

Hi all

I am requesting all the experienced members of this forum to respond to my post please. I worried now because i have never seen any of the post similar to my case. So my case seems to be unique. I do not know when they will provide the decision. My employer asking for the proof that i have submiited my application because my visa is expired. I have not been given the acknowledgement letter when attended the PEO.
I asked my OISC advisor to ask the PEO to issue me the letter so that i can show it to my employers


Please advise
