Tourist Visa for a spouse of a British Citizen, how easy?

what are the chances of refusal for a tourist visa application for a husband of a Brit Wife living outside of EU. The husband has a Ukrainian passport without any previous visas etc. Has a part-time job, finances aren't great but trip is genuine, 5 days Xmas trip with wife to London with all the necessary info etc.

Does the fact that the wife is BC have ANY bearing or is it any advantage to a normal applicant?

Include proof of strong ties outside the UK for both wife and yourself.
