Naric Statement of Comparability - is it worth getting?

Post by Parada » Fri Oct 19, 2012 2:11 am

Hi, recently somebody mentioned to me that I should get Naric Statement of Comparability for non UK degree, would that mean anything to employers? I am not interested in further study at the moment, mainly getting a better job.

Thanks!

I have a non UK-degree as well. To add insult to injury, it can easily be misunderstood, because an identically named (although much lower rated) degree exists in the UK. However, I never experienced any problems. I always stated: "xyz degree from xyz university in xxxx (equivalent to a xyz degree in the UK)". So far, that has always worked and I was never asked to provide any evidence for that. If you are in doubt, you can get a NARIC cert, of course, £48 (min) to £91 (max) are fair prices and you have peace of mind.
