Documentary evidence for earnings

Post by UK Migrant » Fri Oct 19, 2012 2:45 pm

Hi,

I am planning to extend my tier 1 visa. I am self employed. I am not clear with the supporting docs for the previous earnings. In one place it looks like gross earnings and another place it looks like net profit earnings. In the supporting docs also it mentioned that when you produce the accountant,s letter you should show gross and net earning. When you produce profit & loss statements it mentioned only net earnings. It is really confused.
UKBA will give points on the basis of gross earnings or net earnings?
Can anybody advise me please?

It's gross only if you take the profit out of the company otherwise, it's net profit of the business.

On Oct 19th I have posted a query regarding my previous earning evidences for my Tier 1 extension. One of the member has replied that if the profit is taken out of the company then it is declared as gross profit otherwise it is net profit. I am not understanding what he says.
What is meant by profit is taken out of the company?
How to submit the proof for that?
If I claim points by declaring £36000 as my earning then do I have to show £36000 as my net profit?

Anybody's advise is much appreciated.
