BC application for WIFE and CHILD

Post by avinash3993 » Thu Sep 06, 2012 9:49 pm

Dear Friends,

I would really appreciate your advise on the following -

We (Myself, Wife and son) have ILR and plan to apply to BC. However, I would like to keep my Indian passport and hence was wondering if I can make BC application just for my wife and son only! So they can have a BC subsequently we will get OCI so they can travel to India.

Many thanks

1. How long is your wife in the UK?

2. Where is your son born? Is he born before/after your ILR?

You can't apply on behalf of your wife. If she meet the requirements, she can apply herself regardless if you apply.

Thanks for Advice.

We hold ILR for last 2 years. So I think wife and son meet the requirements.

Also, just in case if we decide to go for BC for my son only - is that possible? My son was born in UK and holds ILR.

Regards

Myself, Wife and Son are eligible for naturalisation. Our ILR was granted after my child's birth so I will have to use MN1 for his BC. However -

1. Can we keep our ILR and register just child for BC. Is this possible, are there any issues here?

2. If this is possible We plan to submit child's MN1 application using NCS. While his application gets processed, can we travel to India to visit family.

Please advise.

Many thanks
