past earnings query for extension

i am applying fro hsmp extension in january 2007 (4 years)

i was unemployed in may 06 but overall worked for 11 months. the earnings for the last 7 months exceeds £25,000. however i am not able to show any earnings for the month of may. what concerns me is if they want gross earnings for a single 8 month period where do i stand?

i worked from jan-april and june to december and can provide letter from employer that they wish to employ me frther.
can somebody help me with this.
