Help adopted in 1982

Post by velova » Mon Oct 22, 2012 3:30 pm

Hello everyone, I was adopted in 1982 on the British island of Anguilla. All my life I have had a British Anguilla passport. I have now been told that I am not an Anguillian and therefore cannot apply for a passport my mother never knew this and she is British by birth as Anguilla is British and now we have become BOTC can any one help me understand why this is as I am stateless i belong to nowhere I was born on another Island which is not British. Can I please be advised on what to do. Thank you

Can you please re-post and explain more clearly what the issue is.

For example, "now we have become BOTC can any one help me understand why this is as I am stateless" makes absolutely no sense, since if you are BOTC then you're not stateless.

Where were you born?
