Travel to EU contry for Holiday.

Post by expresso » Mon Oct 22, 2012 7:59 pm

Hi guys,

I have a question.

Currently I am a EEA national member and I will keep my EU citizenship even once I become British citizenship.

When I become British, can I use my British passport to travel to EU country with my non-EU partner as she had a residence card.

OR

I have to use my EU passport for not to comfuse the immigration officer at the airport.

I ask this because immigration matter become complex since the new regulation on the 16 of July 2012.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

I don't really follow why the July changes would affect your travel but in any case, you can use either passport and if you wife travels with you and holds a RC, a visa is not required.
