ordinary statutory paternity payment

Hi,
My wife is pregnant and would be giving birth to baby in next year. I have a question regarding "ordinary statutory paternity payment”. As I am on tier 1 visa are we eligible for ordinary statutory paternity payment (OSPP) ?

Thanks for the info but I have already gone through this. The mentioned link give info about maternity not about paternity? I assume should be same and I should be able to claim SPP.

SPP is not in the above linked list of 'Public Funds'.

You should be fine. You are paid SPP by virtue of you having paid NIC, directly related to your earnings and is therefore not a benefit.
