ILR dependent

Post by gopinath75 » Wed Oct 24, 2012 11:41 pm

HI ,
My wife completed her 2 years stay as dependent of a settled person by the end of Sept2012. She still has got her valid visa until August 2013. I was trying to book for premium service but no availability until next three months. My question is if I am applying either through check in Service or Premium Service , from what date she will be getting her ILR ?. Will she get from the date of completing her 2 year stay i.e End of Sept or from the date she was granted the ILR. Any idea how long it will take through check in service at the councils , as I hear now a days there are delays people are experiencing in terms of processing times.
Thank you

1. From the day a decision on the settlement application is made.
2. SCS has no influence on the processing times of an application. The application will follow the same timelines as any postal application.

Since she came to the UK in Sept 2010, we have been living together and she hasn't been out of UK for not more than a week. I have got my British Citizenship and our child is also British Citizen . My question is since my wife has spent two year in the U.K , will she be able to apply for ILR now , though she has got her visa valid until august 2013 or does she need to wait and apply 28 days before the expiry of her visa. I am intending to apply for her ILR through premium service .It will be appreciated if any one can clarify this query .
Thank you

What was your immigration status when she applied for extension in 2011? Did she use FLR(M) form to apply for extension?

Your wife can apply for settlement any time now using SET(M).
